As I race toward the setting sun and plunge into the abysmal darkness of night, I am strengthened by the knowledge that I will find it rising again on the other side of the horizon.

Have the wisdom to learn from yesterday, the courage to live today, and the patience and faith to believe in tomorrow. Have a great weekend all.

      Mikey,

I’m sorry to hear of your friend’s passing. Like many people, I’ve had to cope with the loss of a close friend, but take comfort in knowing that the memories you shared will stay with you throughout your days, and that is a bond that transcends our life on this planet. I did write that passage relating the cyclical nature of life. Sometimes we come to the end of one particular chapter, but with faith in ourselves and our spirituality (whichever that may be), we will always find the courage to start a new one. For every sunset, there is always a sunrise. And the world keeps on turning…

Thanks so much for stopping by, and my thoughts are with you and yours as you cope with your loss.

        Hey James,

It’s true what you said.  My mate’s passing brought a lot of old friends together after all these years and I’m sure each and everyone of us have opened up a new chapter in our lives where we push aside all the irrelevant and negative feelings that often linger in our lives, at times for no reason, and replace them with the positive simplicities of life, putting in place more value in how precious life really is.

I attached the picture I shot of my mate Eric when he visited me in Stockholm.  I couldn’t find the words until I saw your passage in that, for my mate’s sunset, that I choose to believe that he too has sunrise awaiting on the other side, wherever that may be.

It was definitely the adventure he was ready to embark and find out…

Thank you once again, friend, for your words and thoughts.  Here’s to the memories of our loved ones.

        Cheers,

        Mikey
